SpickSpan keeps your home’s history on your phone. There is no account and no cloud — we could not read your chores even if we wanted to. What we do collect is anonymous usage statistics and crash reports, so we can tell whether the app works and where it breaks. Never the content of your home.

What the app stores

Your chores, rooms, history, notes, people’s names and settings are stored only on your device. The app never uploads them anywhere — they are not part of any statistics.

Usage statistics & crash reports

The apps use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (services of Google) to count anonymous events — app opened, a chore was logged — and to report crashes with technical details such as device model, OS version and a random installation identifier. This tells us whether SpickSpan is healthy; it is never used for advertising, and it never includes your chore names, notes, rooms or people. Google processes this data on our behalf under its own privacy terms.

Purchases

The one-time unlock is processed by the App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google handle the payment and tell the app that the purchase happened; we never see your payment details. The unlock is remembered on your device and can be restored through the store.

Notifications

The morning digest is put together and shown entirely on your phone. Nothing about your chores leaves the device.

Calendar

Calendar events are created only when you explicitly add them. On Android the app hands the event to your calendar app; on iOS it uses write-only access and cannot read your calendar.

Backups

Backups are ZIP files of plain CSV that you create yourself and save wherever you choose. The app never uploads them.

Share links

When you send a chore, the chore itself travels inside the link — in the part after the #, which browsers never send to any server. This website decodes it entirely on the recipient’s device; nothing from a share link is stored or measured. A share link is like a message: send it to people you trust.

This website

spickspan.pixeesoft.dev is a static site served by Google Firebase Hosting, which processes standard technical request logs such as IP addresses. The site uses Google Analytics with cookies to count visits and see which pages matter; share-link contents are explicitly excluded from analytics and never reach any server.
